Since its launch in 2013, the EVGA SuperNOVA G1 power supplies have been among the longest-lasting and best-performing power supplies on the market. Despite only a few changes over the years, it's only fitting that it's time for an upgrade. Enter the G1+, the new and improved fully-modular power supply line-up from EVGA with an 80+ Gold Efficiency rating. Not sure, maybe another user with experience with both can chime in. Most of the results I saw on google are comparing the original (older) G1 to the GQ, instead of the G1+. The G1+ being the newer, upgraded PSU.
Both the 750W 80Plus Gold G1+ and the GQ versions are about the same price $97-99 on Amazon right now. Can anyone tell me the difference between both versions and which would be better for my system, or if you have a better recommendation other than the two. Thanks

Pros: Really efficient power supply, and silent...
Cons: Well it only lasted for 2 years almost to the day, but EVGA has awesome customer support and RMA’d it, I did a cross-ship with them to get back up and running as soon as possible, down side is that they didn’t have the same one, they sent me a newer model G3, well I can say that I miss my old one....
Other Thoughts: 4 eggs for great customer support but only lasted two years
Pros: Works great, I'm a big fan of EVGA. Recently bought my GTX 1080 ti from them as well, they have a high standard of quality that makes me feel reassured no matter what the product is.
Cons: None
Pros: - Fully Modular
- Gold Certified
- 10 Year Warranty
Cons: Worked great for the first 3 months, then died. Called EVGA, issued a return of the bricked product in exchange for a replacement one, only had to cover the cost of shipping (which isn't a big deal). About a week or so later, received the replacement power supply in the mail, reinstalled it, and my computer ran... for about a minute and a half before dying again... Don't get me wrong, EVGA is a great company, just be sure you (as a consumer) know what you're getting into before making a final decision. Hope this review impacts your choice, and I hope EVGA will work more to fixing the common issues found within this power supply.

Pros: Ive been running this power supply for the last 2 1/2 years and have never had a single issue from it. 10 year warrenty is pretty darn good.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: i would definitely recommend this to anyone building a computer or just wanting a bigger psu. Just recently bought a evga geforce 1050 ti ftw, no issues or complaints from the psu.
Pros: - Solid build quality.
- Nice black cables
- Fully modular
- Plenty of power for whatever you desire
- 80+ gold efficiency
- Plenty of power for almost anyone.
Cons: - When more wattage is demanded from it the fan ramps up to an annoying level. I had an RX480 Strix in my pc and it was nearly silent and then when I added in a GTX 1070 in there as well even when neither of the cards were under load it still got really loud and even though I under-volted both cards and removed the overclock on my processor it did not change so I had to remove the 1070. It does not really ramp up it just has two settings loud and quiet.
- It lacks many of the features that newer power supplies have like being able to monitor it with software (Corsair Link) or even eco mode on the newer SuperNova power supplies.
- Cables are a little more stiff than other power supplies I have installed so if you are using a super small case than this is not for you although at that point you are going to be using a SFX power supply so I don't know if anyone really cares about that.
Other Thoughts: - Even though products like the AX1500i exist where they will supply 1500 watts of power to a system for almost any computer that is totally unnecessary. The average gaming pc these days with a i5 7600k and a gtx 1070 pulls under 300w of power. So for the general consumer who wants a reliable high wattage power supply this is great.
- At the end of the day this is a great psu for anybody who is not planing to do bitcoin mining or sli/crossfire. It has great build construction and After 2 and a half years it is still running well in my system.
Pros: Bought this guy back in January and have been running now for 6 months no issues.
Pros
-easy to setup
-fully modular
-gold
Cons: -none so far
Pros: Modular is nice, and more needed connectors than the generic PSU's
Cons: FORCED to give EVGA 1 egg, deserves 0. (LEPA N500 IS EMBERASSing EVGA'S 750) 2 EVGA have died in 6 months. ONLY LASTED 6 MONTHS BECAUSE, I bought the LEPA to avoid shipping done time, so waited 2 months before RMAing.. GOOD THING I DID THAT! cause the the EVGA replacement didn't last a month. So now going for 3RD EVGA PSU.
Other Thoughts: AMD FX8350, EVGA GTX 950, 5 puny case fans, 1 SSD, 2 HDD, is all this thing is powering and EVGA 750 G1's can't stand it, dropping like flies....I've bought a fan controller and Delta fans, which I can't install because EVGA PSU's won't stop 'stinking' themself...EVGA PSU will really schlitz itself then.. if 500w LEPA can run circles around EVGA 750 like this, Then LEPA 750+ might be the best replacement. Think I'll be asking EVGA for a refund.
